British radio is unusually dense for the size of the country. What to expect
The UK also exports a disproportionate amount of specialist music radio. Dance, drum and bass, grime, dub and underground electronic shows that started on pirate stations in London and Bristol now run as legitimate internet broadcasters, and they are some of the best-curated music on the dial anywhere.
The national public broadcaster restricts its streams to licensed applications, so its stations are not available through a general web player.
